Designer Dog House Fundraiser

Artist Jay McClellan, founder of Benevolent Hound,  along with 8 local decorators and designers created 9 unique dog houses that were auctioned off online to benefit an array of local not-for-profit organizations. The doghouses went on tour for viewing throughout the area in November of 2021.

“I came up with the idea of wanting to help local not-for-profits that do so much for the community and at the same time, I wanted to showcase the incredible talent of local designers, decorators, and artists. The dog houses were the perfect amalgamation of the two.”

Anthropologie + Brandywine SPCA

We created drawings of 100 dogs for 100 Anthropologie employees, and held an event at their corporate office where we sold all the drawings and donated the proceeds to the Brandywine Valley SPCA. Even better, the SPCA brought a bunch of pups to the event that all got adopted right on the spot!

Jay has truly been an amazing partner for the animals at the Brandywine Valley SPCA, his work is beautiful and is only matched by his capacity to support non-profits like the BVSPCA. His professional approach and determination to see us succeed have truly been inspiring, there is no doubt in my mind that Jay will continue to do amazing work with us and help other artists connect in a more meaningful way!

Jay held a fundraiser and donated A portion of the proceeds to our organization which allow us to continue our mission of assisting disabled veterans By donating a service dog to someone in need. Jay was great to work with and we appreciate his generosity and support especially in a time where fundraising at the moment is nonexistent. we are very grateful for his generosity.
